Edna Ione FLINSPACH, 61, Ottumwa former resident of Fairfield, died at 6:06 p.m. Wednesday at the Ottumwa Hospital where she had been a patient the past three days.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard C. Faust, Ottumwa, officiating. Burial wil be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Edna Ione FLINSPACH was born March 8, 1913, in Fairfield, the daughter of Edward and Nancy GILBERT FLINSPACH. She was reared and educated in Fairfield.
She was a graduate of Parsons College and also Drake University at Des Moines. She taught in Jefferson and Wapello County schools for the past 33 years; in Douglas School in Ottumwa; and this year she was teaching in Glenn James Elementary School in Ottumwa.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church, BPW, Eagles Auxiliary, Alpha Delta Kappa, DAR and the Ottumwa Federation of Teachers. Her address in Ottumwa was 224½ W. Second.
Survivors include one brother, Charlie FLINSPACH, Fairfield; one nephew and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents.
