WIDOW OF ELMER FLEAGLE DIED LAST EVENING

Word was received here this morning of the death of Mrs. Elmer FLEAGLE, who passed away last evening at the hospital at Cedar Falls (note: in Black Hawk Co., IA). Mrs. FLEAGLE had been very ill for the past several months, and altho (sic) her death was not unexpected, the passing of the young woman in the prime of life, causes keen sorrow to her family and the large circle of friends. She was aged twenty-five years. Just six weeks ago yesterday, her husband, Elmer FLEAGLE, died at Cedar Fals, after a brief illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. FLEAGLE of Fairfield.

The body of Mrs. FLEAGLE will be brot (sic) to Fairfield tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Monday afternoon, at the home of their uncle, A. R. GREESON, on East Lowe street. Dr. C. L. Tennant of the M. E. church, will conduct the services, and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery, by the sid (sic) of her husband.

Mrs. FLEAGLE is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. GREESON, former residents of Fairfield. She grew to young womanhood here, and has many friends and acquaintances who with the family sorrow at her passing.

MRS ELMER E. FLEAGLE.

Bertha Delora FLEAGLE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. GREESON, was born Sept. 9, 1896, at Pleasant Plain, Jefferson county, Iowa. In early childhood she came with her parents and took up their residence near Fairfield, where she grew to young womanhood.

Sept. 25, 1915, she was united in marriage with Elmer E. FLEAGLE. Her husband preceded her in death May 7th of this year. Mr. FLEAGLE saw service on the Mexican border, and the young wife spent several months there with him. She contracted ill health while there and never fully recovered.

Following service for his country in the World War, in Germany, Mr. FLEAGLE returned to the states and they took up their residence at Cedar Falls. His brief illness and death there was a severe shock and she had rapidly declined in health since. Her death occurred at Cedar Falls, June 25. She was aged twenty-four years (sic - 23), nine months and sixteen days.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her father and mother of Cedar Falls, two sisters, Mrs. Carl GRIFFITH of Fairfield, and Mrs. Clyde FREDERICK, Des Moines, and two brothers, Bert GREESON, Cartersburg, Ia., and Aleck GREESON of Denver. She had many sincere friends in this city and Cedar Falls, who extend sympathy to the devoted family.

Mrs. FLEAGLE was a faithful member of the Rebekah lodge at Cedar Falls and a member of the M. E. church of Fairfield. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home of her uncle, A. R. GREESON in this city. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
