Mrs. Claude FLEAGLE, Fairfield Route 1, remains in very critical condition at University Hospital in Iowa City, members of her family say today.
Mrs. FLEAGLE, 58, suffered severe injuries Wednesday evening when the car she was driving struck the rear of a stock truck parked on a county road.
Mrs. FLEAGLE underwent nero-surgery (sic) Wednesday night as the result of a skull fracture sustained in the crash. Further surgery was performed Thursday night for treatment of internal injuries.
Her husband remains a patient at the Jefferson County Hospital. He lost part of his right hand in a corn picker accident at the FLEAGLE farm on October 29.

Mrs. Claude FLEAGLE, Fairfield, Route 1, injured last week in an auto accident, remains in critical condition at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Friends and family have been encouraged by the fact that she can move her arms and legs, even though still unconscious.
The FLEAGLEs' daughter, Mrs. Glenn ULRICH of Homestead, Fla., has arrived to be with her mother and her father, Claude FLEAGLE, a patient at Jefferson County Hospital. ULRICH accompanied his wife.
He will be able to have Thanksgiving dinner with his children and grandchildren at the home of his son, Norman FLEAGLE and family. Also present will be the other two sons, the Frank FLEAGLEs and the Verlin FLEAGLEs of DeWitt.
FLEAGLE, who lost part of a hand in a farm accident, will return to the hospital Thursday afternoon where he expects to undergo skin grafts soon.

Front Page, Column 6Crash Injuries Prove Fatal To Mrs. C. FLEAGLE
Mrs. Claude FLEAGLE, route 1, died at 12:40 a.m. today of critical injuries she received in a traffic accident near Fairfield on Nov. 20.
The accident occurred about 2½ miles southeast of Fairfield when the car she was driving plowed into the rear of a truck on a county road. The crash took place about 7 p.m., after dark.
Mrs. FLEAGLE died at the University Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA) where she was taken by ambulance immediately after the crash. She suffered critical head and other injuries. She was the seventh traffic accident victim in Jefferson County so far this year.
Last rites will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Gilmore and the Rev. E. Wayne Ryan officiating. Burial wil be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Alice Irene FLEAGLE, 58, was born May 15, 1910, in Marion County, the daughter of James and Mary MASTERSON BRIGGS. She was reared and educated in Batavia.
She was married to Claude FLEAGLE on Feb. 25, 1928 in Muscatine. She was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church, served as president of Bethesda WSCS and a member of the Bradshaw Helping Hand Club.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Frank, Ottumwa; Verlin who lives at DeWitt; and Norman, Douds; one daughter, Mrs. Iona ULRICH, Homestead, Fla.; five grandchildren.
Also seven brothers and sisters: Charles BRIGS, Libertyville. Floyd BRIGGS, Elmhurst, Ill.; Mrs. Edith EVANS, Bloomfield; Mrs. June EVANS, Bloomfield; Walter BRIGGS, Bloomfield; Mrs. Nora BENNETT, Norfolk, Ark.; and Mrs. Rhoda DABNEY, Jordan, Ark.
Mrs. FLEAGLE was preceded in death by one brother.

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Alice FLEAGLE, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Alice FLEAGLE Deceased:
You are hereby notified that on the 18th day of December, 1968, the last will and testament of the above named decedent, bearing date of the 4th day of February, 1958 was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Claude FLEAGLE was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.
Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
