Mrs. Lucille KING Dies At Winfield, Funeral Saturday

Last rites will be Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Lucille FISCHER KING, former well known Fairfield resident who passed away suddenly last night at Winfield.

She died about 5:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Warren SCOTT, also former residents of Fairfield.

Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Methodist church at Winfield in charge of the Rev. Arthur Brent. The body will then be brought to Fairfield and services will be held at the Hoskins Funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Before moving to Winfield Mrs. KING, then Mrs. Lucille FISCHER, operated a restaurant here for several years and was employed at Parsons college.

She was born April 20, 1890, at Osage City, Kan., the daughter of the late Nels J. and Anna JOHNSON ANDERSON. She was united in marriage to Carl H. FISCHER on March 7, 1915. The were the parents of two daughters, Doris and Thelma. The husband and father passed away in February, 1919.

Mrs. FISCHER was married a second time to William E. KING of Ottumwa in 1939. He passed away in 1941.

After the death of Mr. KING she went to Winfield to make her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Warren SCOTT. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors lodge.

Mrs. KING is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Warren (Doris) SCOTT, Winfield, and Mrs. Allen (Thelma) BARRY, Oelwien, Ia.

She is also survived by four grandchildren; four brothers, Roy O. ANDERSON, Detroit; Elmer E. ANDERSON, Fairfield; Leonard L. ANDERSON, South Bend, Ind.; and Oliver A. ANDERSON, LaPorte, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. Judith SMITH, Niles, Mich.; and Mrs. Myrtle HUNTINGTON, Cleveland, Ohio.

The body is at the Barton-McKasson Funeral home at Winfield.
