Mrs. FICKEL, 92, Taken In Death

Mrs. Effie L. FICKEL, 92, lifetime resident of Jefferson and Van Buren Counties, died Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. at the Fairfield Convalescent Home.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Wilson Hyde. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. FICKEL was a resident of the Wooster community for many years. She later made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh HOLLANDER, 1303 South D.

She was born June 28, 1878 in Van Buren County, the daughter of Isreal and Samantha ANDERSON BONNETT. She was married to Alfred R. FICKEL March 27, 1901. He preceded his wife in death Sept. 1, 1951.

Mrs. FICKEL is survived by one daughter, Mrs. HOLLANDER, and four sons: John FICKEL, Fairfield; Earl FICKEL, Indianola, Ervin FICKEL, Atlantic; and Elvin FICKEL, Urbandale.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and the following sister and brothers: Mrs. Mary KRUSE, Audubon; Louis BONNETT, Salem, Ore.; Edgar BONNETT, Batavia; Ira BONNETT, Algona; and Ray BONNETT, Mission, Tex. One sister is deceased.
