Della FICKLE Dies At 95

Mrs. Della M. FICKLE, 95, lifelong resident of Jefferson and Wapello Counties, died at 5 p.m. Friday at the Kirk Nursing home in Agency (note: in Wapello Co., IA) following an extended illness.

She had been a patient at the Kirk Nursing Home since December 1975 and prior to that had been a patient at the Nelson Nursing Home.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with Elder Raymond Webb officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Della FICKLE was born Feb. 24, 1881, in Jefferson County near Fairfield. She was the daughter of George and Mary LONG LIBLIN.

Reared and educated in Jefferson County, she was married to William Josiah FICKEL Feb. 27, 1906. He died Sept. 28, 1947.

They operated a farm north of Fairfield until 1920, at that time moving to a farm north of Eldon. In 1968 she came to Fairfield to be with her son near Fairfield. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church near Eldon.

Survivors include one son, Emery FICKEL, route 3; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, five brothers and a sister.
