James FERRELL rite Saturday

The services for James L. FERRELL, 60, 805 N. Court St., who died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 1989, at his home, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. The body will be cremated after the service with burial at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Kidney Foundation of Iowa.

FERRELL was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Union City, Tenn., the son of Wilburn and Mary HARMOND FERRELL, and lived most of his life in Fairfield. He married Alice M. Kane Oct. 1 in Fairfield (sic - in 1949). She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Lynn of Urbandale; two daughters, Mary ENGELKES of Holland, Iowa, Lea Ann FALK of Chandler, Ariz.; two grandsons and two brothers, Robert and Glenn, both of Fairifeld, and several nieces and nephews.

He worked at the Malleable Iron Company for 41 years and had been foundry superintendent. He served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church, VFW Post 2271, and the American Foundryman's Society.
