Page 4, Column 2FERGUSON FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON
The funeral services over the remains of John Dwight FERGUSON, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. D. FERGUSON, who died yesterday after an illness of only two days, were held at the home on West Broadway. Rev. W. B. Ireland had charge of the last service and the interrment (sic) took place in Evergreen cemetery.
The young parents have the sincere sympathy of the entire neighborhood, as they are entire strangers in Fairfield having resided here but a week. Their former home was in Mokane, Mo. The little lad was taken ill Saturday with a heavy cold and the croup and death claimed him yesterday. He was two and a half years old and is survived by his parents and two little sisters.

FERGUSON--John Dwight FERGUSON, aged two years and six months, died this morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. FERGUSON, on West Broadway.
The little one's death was caused by contracting a cold a few days ago, which developed into croup and as a result the little life went out this morning at 6:00 o'clock.
Beside the grief stricken parents the little one leaves two sisters who will never know the companionship of the little brother, taken so early in life.
Mr. FERGUSON and family are almost strangers in the city, coming to Fairfield from Mokane, Mo., a little more than a week ago, but the sympathy of the entire community will be tendered them in the loss of their beloved little son.
As yet no arrangements have been made for funeral services.
