Edwin Harold FERGUSON, 75, of Keosauqua, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in his home at the University of Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a fall (note: in Johnson Co., IA).
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Ellis Andrew officiating. The casket will be closed. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will be at a later. (sic)
Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Behner Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to Keosauqua United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice.
Mr. FERGUSON was born Sept. 19, 1925, near Packwood, the son of Ephriam Earl and Anna Mary SCARBOROUGH FERGUSON. He married Mildred Eloise HISEL Sept. 26, 1943, in Memphis, Mo.
He graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1943, and lived in the Fairfield and Keosauqua communities. He was a parts manager for International Case IH dealers for 43 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Keosauqua and was a active Boy Scout and Explorer leader.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred FERGUSON of Keosauqua; one son, Ronald Dean FERGUSON and wife Edith of Westminister, Calif.; one grandson; one step-granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Stanley and Don FERGUSON; and two sisters, Helen FERGUSON and Elise BARKER.
