Mrs. ERICKSON Taken In Death

Death came early this morning to Mrs. Harvey ERICKSON, 79, longtime resident of Fairfield. She passed away about 7 a.m. at the Nelson Nursing home west of Fairfield. Before entering the nursing home her home was at 107 W. Jefferson.

Mrs. ERICKSON had been in failing health for the past three years and seriously ill the past week.

Last rites have been tentatively set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Katherine (sic - Katharine) M. CALHOUN ERICKSON was born Nov. 26, 1882, in Center township in Jefferson county. She was the daughter of Jerry Mr. and Emma McWHIRTER CALHOUN. She was reared and educated in Jefferson county and college at Cedar Falls.

In September, 1909 she was united in marriage to Harvey ERICKSON who preceded his wife in death on June 23, 1962.

Mrs. ERICKSON was a life-time resident of the county, she was a member of the Christian church, OES and White Shrine.

She is survived by one brother, J. N. CALHOUN, Fairfield, one nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister.

Notice Is Hereby Given, that the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Administrator of the estate of Katherine ERICKSON deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment, and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
