Harvey ERICKSON Taken In Death

Harvey C. ERICKSON, life-time resident of Jeffereson county and well known carpenter for many years, died at 1:45 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital.

He had been in failing health and entered the hospital about a month ago.

Last rites have been tentatively set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Lee Davis in charge. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Harvey C. ERICKSON, 83, was born June 16, 1879, near Four Corners in Jefferson county. He was the son of Albert and Melinda HILLMAN ERICKSON.

He was reared and educated in the Four Corners and Richwoods communities and was married in September, 1909, at Fairfield to Katherine M. CALHOUN. The family home is at 107 W. Jefferson.

He had been a resident of Fairfield for the pat 60 years and was a carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a member of the Christian church, the Masons and the IOOF.

In addition to his wife he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Wesley, who lives at Paonia, Colo.; Walter E. and Roy D. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Lavina E. COCHRAN, Jefferson, Oregon; Mrs. Mabel M. McCAMPBELL, Concord, Calif., several nieces and nephews.

ERICKSON was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ralph.

To All Whom It May Concern:

You Are Hereby Notified, That an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Harvey C. ERICKSON, deceased, dated May 31, 1962 having been this day filed, opened and read, Wednesday the 11th day of July, 1962, is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the District Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court; and at 9:30 a.m. of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last Will and Testament of said deceased.
