ENLOW Funeral In California

Mrs. Maude L. ENLOW, oldest daughter of Ruth Emma and Dr. T.J. BATES was born in Jefferson County in 1883 and died at 9:55 a.m. July 17 at the Community Hospital of San Gabriel, Calif.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. July 19 at the Turner and Stevens Funeral Home in Alhambra with the Rev. Walter J. Stevens of the Pasadena Church of Religious Science officiating. Interment was in Rose Hills Memorial Cemetery at Whittier, Calif.

Mrs. ENLOW moved to California with her immediate family in 1955 and has resided with her daughter, Louise ENLOW, and a son, Cloyce M. ENLOW for a number of years. She had lived in Alhambra all but two years when the family trio lived in Laguna Beach from May 1972 to May 1974.

She was of Science of Mind faith and attended church in Beverly Hills and Pasadena.

Survivors include her son and daughter, four nephews and a step-daughter, Phyllis PARROTT, Moline, Ill. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Note: There is a gravestone for her in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot 3rd.101, however it is a Cenotaph (stone with no burial) put there as a memorial. Her husband was Grant Maynard ENLOW (1878-1968) who died in Fairfield, IA, and was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, Van Buren Co., IA.
