EMRY Funeral Will Be Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelle EMRY, 86, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. James Dendler officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. EMRY died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at the Fairfield Convalescent Home where she had been a patient since December.

A native of Fairfield, she spent much of her married life in South Dakota. She served as manager of the Cove Tea Room at Fantle Bros., Inc., in Sioux Falls, S.D., for 17 years before her retirement.

Her husband, Clarence U. EMRY, preceded her in death in 1944. Surivors include one son, W. C. EMRY, Fairfield; two grandsons; two great granddaughters; and a sister, Mrs. Katherine BROWN, Fairfield.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.017. She was Clarence's second wife. He is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton, IA, with his first wife. Nelle's maiden name was COOK, and she was the daughter of William S. and Martha E. SHOULTS COOK.
