BRIGHTON -- Lee EMRY, 51, died suddenly Saturday after suffering a heart attack. An insurance agent, EMRY was stricken at the Brighton stockyards.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Brighton Methodist Church with the Rev. Gordon Packard officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery (note: in Washington Co., IA). The body is at the Gould Funeral Home there.
EMRY was born Nov. 11, 1916 north of Richland, the son of L. V. and Minnie OSWALT EMRY. Most of his life was spent in Brighton.
EMRY was married March 11, 1939 to Leota F. RAMGE. She died March 1, 1961. On April 26, 1962, he was married to Hiawanna HANEY, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jack EMRY, Davenport; Howard EMRY, Brighton; and Jim EMRY, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and one step-daughter, Mrs. James STEPHENS, Brighton.
Other survivors are eight grandchildren; one brother, Wayne EMRY, Fort Collins, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Peg HENRY, Washington; and Mrs. Harold SHELANGOSKI, Mount Pleasant.
