W. T. ELLIOTT DIED THIS MORNING

W. T. ELLIOTT, a well known resident of Jefferson county, passed away this morning at 1:45 o'clock at his home, five miles west of the city, after an illness of about two weeks with pneumonia.

William Thomas ELLIOTT was the son of Thomas and Eleanor ELLIOTT and was born March 9, 1854, in Ohio. He came to Iowa March 1, 1872, and coming to Jefferson county about ten years ago, where he has since resided.

On March 8, 1892, he was united in marriage to Miss Sadie LAYTON in this city. To this union were born two sons, Percy and Clarence, who with the wife are left to mourn his loss. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, James ELLIOTT of Birmingham, and Mrs. Henry HANS of Paris, Ill., Mrs. Ed HUTCHINSON of Smith Center, Kan., and Mrs. Wilson ROSS of Belair, Kan.

No arrangements have been made for the funeral, awaiting word from his sisters in Kansas.

ELLIOTT.

William T. ELLIOTT died at his home five miles west of Fairfield, last Friday, following a two weeks' illness with pneumonia. Mr. ELLIOTT was almost sixty-four years of age. He was born in Ohio, but came to this county from Birmingham ten years ago. He was a well known and highly respected citizen.

He leaves a widow and two sons and a number of brothers and sisters. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ogden, of Nevada, Iowa, at the Christian church in this city, last Saturday.
