MRS. R. ELDER DIED LAST NIGHT
Death Came at Hospital In Ottumwa Where She Was Taken January 20

Mrs. Velma Jane ELDER, wife of Ramson (sic - Ransom) ELDER, residing 3½ miles west of Fairfield, died last night at 10:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's hospital in Ottumwa where she was taken for treatment Jan. 20 (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home this afternoon and funeral arrangements will be completed later.

Mrs. ELDER was 41 years of age. She is survived by her husband and two children Lorrain and Charles at home and a brother, Ira SEARS of Pontiac, Mich.

MRS. RAMSON (sic) ELDER FUNERAL TOMORROW AFTERNOON AT 2:00

Funeral services for Mrs. Ramson (sic - Ransom) ELDER, who died of double pneumonia at St. Joseph's hospital in Ottumwa Monday night, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Christian church in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS RANSOME ELDER

Mrs. Velma Jane SEARS ELDER was born January 19, 1886, and departed this life at the St. Joseph's hospital, Ottumwa, Iowa, January 28, 1929, after an illness of two weeks.

On January 28, 1903 she was united in marriage to Ransome (sic - Ransom) ELDER. Besides her husband she is survived by two children Charles and Lorraine both at home, and one brother Ira J. SEARS of Pontiac, Mich.

Funeral services were held from the Christian church, Thursday afternoon at two oclock in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly. Mrs. Anderson Patten and Miss Reva Patten sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "Going Down the Valley" and "Beautiful Isle." Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
