Lillian Elaine ELDER TAYLOR

Lillian Elaine ELDER TAYLOR, 75, of Clarinda and former Fairfield resident died at 1:30 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Clarinda.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Thomas Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Alzheimer's Foundation.

Mrs. TAYLOR was born April 1, 1925, in Birmingham, Ala., the daughter of Alonzo and Mary Alice WILSON TOWNLEY. She married J. Eugene ELDER July 5, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla. He died Aug. 17, 1969. She then married Earl TAYLOR Dec. 21, 1991, at Barnsdall, Okla. He died July 4, 1996.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield and later, the Barnsdall Baptist Church.

Mrs. TAYLOR had been a resident of Clarinda since February.

Survivors include one daughter, Deb LINDQUIST and husband Ron of Ottumwa; three sons, Charles ELDER and his wife Jane of Denver, Colo., Jim ELDER and his wife Robin of Batavia, Dave ELDER and his wife Joan of Evansville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma WHITE; and three brothers, Leo, James and Tom TOWNLEY, all of Oklahoma.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary ELDER; an infant daughter; one great-grandson; one sister, Velma PARKER; and four brothers, Lebron, Lucian, John and infant Amos TOWNLEY.
