Last rites will be Thursday afternoon for Harry Raymond ELDER, former Fairfield resident who died Sunday at Davenport (note: in Scott Co., IA).
The body will arrive at the Weston Behner funeral home Wednesday morning. The services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. with Dr. E. A. Piper in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Harry Raymond ELDER, 37, was born in Fairfield on Dec. 6 (sic - Nov. 28), 1920, the son of Harry and Ethel FRAZIER ELDER. The father passed away several years ago.

Services and burial will be held here Thursday for Harry R. ELDER, 37, former Fairfield resident who died Sunday at Mercy hospital in Bettendorf (note: in Scott Co., IA).
Death was caused by self-inflicted bullet wounds.
Last rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of Dr. E. A. Piper. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
ELDER was employed as a chef in a Moline, Ill., restaurant. Surviving are two daughters, Karyolyn Kay and Mary Helen ELDER; a son, Richard ELDER; a sister, Mrs. Phyllis RANK; a brother, Donald P. ELDER, all of Bettendorf; and his mother, Mrs. Ethel FISCH, Des Moines.
ELDER was a member of the First Lutheran church of Fairfield.
