Alvin EKLUND dies at 72

Alfin F. EKLUND, 72, Libertyville, died at 8:05 a.m. to day at the Jefferson County Hospital.

The body is at the Behner Funeral Home where last rites are pending.

Rites today for EKLUND

LIBERTYVILLE-- Services for Alvin Frank EKLUND, 72, lifetime resident of Jefferson County, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. Keith Lingwall officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

EKLUND died at 8:05 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital.

He was the son of Charles and Mary JOHNSTON EKLUND, born June 27, 1907, in Mediapolis.

His marriage to Vera P. LEATHERS took place Aug. 3, 1927, in Fairfield, and spent 24 years as a machinist.

A member of First Lutheran Church, he spent his entire life in Jefferson County.

Survivors include the following: his widow; five daughters, Mary ROLAND and Connie BARTON, Fairfield; Ruth HOOVER, Richland; Shirley JOHNSON, Wedron, Ill.; and Linda CLEMMONS, Libertyville; two sons, Larry EKLUND, Libertyville; and Richard EKLUND, Fairfield; 23 grandchildren; eight Great-grandchildren and a sister, Violet LEWIS, Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brothers.
