Thomas Michael DWYER, 73, 611 West Kirkwood St., passed away at his home this morning at 6:00 o'clock following a heart attack suffered at 5:20 a.m. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from St. Mary's church with Father Thoman in charge. Burial in Evergreen. The Rosary will be said on Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home.
Mr. DWYER was born in New York on August 10, 1872 and moved to Fairfield when four years old. He married Hannah MILLANE on April 25, 1897. He was retired at 60 by the C. R. I. & P. railroad after working for them as a signalman.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah; five daughters: Mary, at home; Mrs. H. M. KELLY, Mrs. Clayton HORTON, both of Fairfield; Mrs. Raymond ADRIAN of Sigourney; and Lt. Mildred DWYER, overseas with the U. S. Nurses Corps; two sons: Edward C., at home and Thomas C. of Fairfield; two granddaughters and two grandsons; two sisters: Mrs. Emry FISHER and Mrs. Fred CLARK, both of Ottumwa.
