Irene DAVIDSON DYER, 91, of Ottumwa, died at 8:28 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 1991, at Good Samaritan Center in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with the Rev. George King officiating. Visitation is open at Raymond Funeral Home.
Mrs. DYER was born August 18, 1900, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Samuel Floyd and Anna Pearl STANSBERRY DAVIDSON. She grew up in Jefferson County and live most of her adult life in Ottumwa. She married Thomas D. DYER on Aug. 15, 1934, in Geneva, Ill. He died in December 1975 (sic - December 19, 1973). She was an Avon representative and worked for several years at Spurgeon's stores in Fairfield and Ottumwa. She was affiliated with the Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa.
Several cousins survive. A brother, Arlie DAVIDSON and a sister, Nina DAVIDSON, preceded her in death.
