Mrs. Thomas M. DWYER, 89, 611 W. Kirkwood, died at 6:50 a.m. today at the Jeffereson county hospital. She had been in failing health for a number of years and seriously ill the past six weeks.
Last rites will be Monday at the St. Mary Catholic church with the Rev. Francis Henricksen in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Raymond funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Hannah F. DWYER was born May 13, 1874, in Illinois, the daughter of Cornelius and Hannah HASSETT MILLANE. She was reared and educated in Fairfield and married to Thomas M. DWYER. she spent practically her entire life in this community.
Mrs. DWYER was a member of and the (sic) St. Mary Catholic church.
Her husband preceded her in death on June 8, 1945. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, two sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include five daughters: Mary M. DWYER, Mrs. Harley KELLY, Mrs. Clayton HORTON, all of Fairfield; Mrs. Raymond ADRIAN, Sigourney; and Mrs. Lewis WARD, Iowa City. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
