Frances G. DWYER, 93, a resident of Maplewood Manor Care Center in Keota since January 1992 and a former resident of Fairfield, died at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at the care center.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Timothy Regan officiating. The Altar and Rosary Society recitation of the rosary will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home. The rosary wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Mass stipends, St. Mary Catholic Church or Maplewood Manor.
Mrs. DWYER was born June 10, 1905, in Greensboro, N.C., the daughter of John A. and Margaret KLEIN GRETTER. She grew up in Keota and attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Keota.
She married Thomas C. DWYER May 4, 1931, at St. Mary Catholic Church. They owned and operated the Jail Cafe in New Chicago. She had worked at Mel's Cafe and Gaumer Drug Store, and she had worked 35 years at the Svacina Jewelers and Kurka Jewelers, all in Fairfield.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died May 30, 1963; her parents; three brothers, Dudley, Bernard K. and John Edgar GRETTER; and one sister, Gertrude LORACK.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Nadine OSWEILER of Keota.
