DEATH TAKES MRS. DUGGAN

Mrs. John L. (sic - John J.) DUGGAN, 64, resident of Fairfield for several years, died at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bennie WINFREY, 301 East Madison street. She had been in failing health for some time, and bedfast the last 11 months.

Laura Teresa DUGGAN was born march 23, 1882, in Keokuk, Iowa. She was a member of the German Lutheran church of Keokuk. Her husband preceded her in death April 25, 1942.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Marcene PHILLIPS, Cedar Rapids; John, Hastings, Nebraska; Charles, New York; Mrs. Irene WINFREY, Fairfield; and William, also of Fairfield.

Two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Albert KIEFER, Keokuk, and two brothers, Walter UULLRICH (sic - ULLRICH), New Haven, Conn., and Carl ULLRICH, Ft. Madison, also survive. One son died in infancy.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where arrangements for the funeral are being made.

Rites Sunday For Mrs. John DUGGAN

Funeral services for Mrs. John DUGGAN will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. DUGGAN passed away Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter after a lengthy illness.

... --Those from out of town, called here by the serious illness and death of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. J. J. DUGAN (sic), were 1st Sgt. and Mrs. Charles DUGGAN of Staten Island, New York, John DUGGAN of Hastings, Nebraska and Mrs. Marcine PHILLIPS and son Jerry of Cedar Rapids. They returned to their homes yesterday and while in Fairfield, were guests in the home of their sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie WINFREY. ...
