Victor J. DROZ Taken In Death

Victor J. DROZ, native of Fairfield, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had entered as a patient the day before.

Last rites will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. D. O. Van Dyne officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Victor J. DROZ, 74, was born Aug. 22, 1893, in Fairfield, the son of George and Anna BRUEY DROZ. He was reared and educated in Fairfield and spent most of his life in this community.

He had been a machinist for 35 years for the Link Belt firm in Cedar Rapids, starting work for the firm while it was located in Fairfield.

DROZ was married in December, 1921, to Tracey CRUTCHER, at Trenton, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Jack, who lives in Wellman; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ethel BOYER, Ottumwa; and a step-brother, Verl NELSON, Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by one brother who died in infancy; another brother, Glenn; and a step-brother.
