DEATHS

MRS. JACK VARNER

Funeral services were held at Bloomfield, Friday for Mrs. Jack VARNER, 65, formerly of Fairfield. She died following an operation for gallstones at St. Mary's hospital in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA). She was buried in Fairfield by the side of her first husband, Alva DORMAN, who died 27 years ago (sic - in 1916).

She is survived by her husband, Jack VARNER; a sister in Columbus Junction; a number of nieces and nephews. Just four weeks ago she visited in Fairfield in the homes of Adrien Richardson and Mrs. Paul Metzger.
