DIES TODAY AT HOSPITAL

Frank DIMMITT, 73, well known resident of Fairfield, passed away this morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient since last Monday. He had been in failing health the past two years and seriously ill the past week.

Last rites will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Eevergreen cemetery (sic).

Mr. DIMMITT had lived in Fairfield 38 years. He was born February 18, 1874 (sic - 1875), in Illinois, the son of the late George and Christina DIMMITT. He ws a member of the Griggsville, Illinois, Methodist church.

Mr. DIMMITT is survived by the following children: Clyde W., Mrs. Ralph LYNN, Warren C., Mrs. Robert ADAMS, and Robert H., all of Fairfield; Mrs. A. I. IPSAN, Cedar Rapids; and Mrs. Theodore GIRE, Libertyville. Twenty-two grandchildren also survive.

His wife preceded him in death on July 19, 1940. A son, Clifford E., lost his life in World War 1.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL
In District Court

STATE OF IOWA.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, ss.

To All Whom It May Concern:

You Are Hereby Notified, That an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Frank DIMMITT, Deceased dated July 27, 1940 having been this day filed, opened and read, Friday the 18th day of April, 1947 is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the District Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court; and at 9:30 o'clock A. M., of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause, if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last Will and Testament of said deceased.

Dated at Fairfield, Iowa, March 22, 1947.
