Margaret A. DIERS

Margaret A. DIERS, 80, of Brighton died at 9:19 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Jefferson County Hospital.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Hospice or First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. DIERS was born April 24, 1918, east of Salina, the daughter of Alvin and Maud C. LARSON HOLLANDER. She married Julius DIERS April 5, 1942, at the HOLLANDER home place. He is surviving.

Mrs. DIERS was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County. She graduated from Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Mo. She was a farm homemaker and bookkeeper for the DIERS Farms. She was a member of the First Lutheran Chruch, Dorcas circle, Richwoods Willing Workers, Neighborhood Bridge Club, and Rebekah Lodge.

In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters, Juliana M. of Sparks, Nev., Rose M. WILSON of St. Simons Island, Ga., and Carolyn J. SCHLICHER of Brighton; one son, Larry D. of Brighton; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucile EMMACK and Marie SWENSEN, both of Fairfield, and Dorothy QUACKENBUSH of Glendale, Calif.; and one brother, Clair HOLLANDER of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Glenn HOLLENDER (sic).
