He returned to the Jefferson County Hospital about eight weeks ago and passed away there at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, May 14, 1922.

He is survived by his six brothers, John, Henry and Bernard of Fairfield, Iowa and George and Albert of Walnut township in this county and Frank of Buchanan township in this county.

Funeral services were conducted from the English Lutheran church Tuesday, May 16, at 2 o'clock by R. H. Polly of the Christian church. Six brothers acted as pall bearers. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
