DICE Funeral To Be Wednesday

Mrs. Clarence E. DICE, resident of Fairfield for the past seven years, passed away last night at the University hospital in Iowa City where she had been a patient since July 29 (note: in Johnson Co., IA). Her death came at 7:22 p.m.

She had been in failing health the past two months and seriously ill since entering the hospital.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Marcia Inez DICE, 75, was born Nov. 2, 1878, near Kahoka, Mo., the daughter of the late Rev. John and Georgianna SHERWOOD PRICKETT. She was united in marriage on Jan. 25, 1905, to Clarence E. DICE who preceded his wife in death April 13, 1953.

Mr. and Mrs. DICE moved to Jefferson county 34 years ago, and moved to Fairfield seven years ago. The family home is located at 106 S. Maple. Mrs. DICE was a member of the First Christian church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lester WILSON, Fairfield, and Mrs. James KELLER, Washington. She is also survived by three grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Lottie PRICKETT, Kahoka, Mo. and a brother, Wilford PRICKETT, Wyaconda, Mo.

Mrs. DICE was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and three sisters.
