Mrs. Jennette DAY, mother of William and Miss Emma DAY, died at the home of her son in this city Wednesday evening. She was in the eighty-eighth year of her age and had been in failing health for some time. Her final illness lasted about ten weeks, and began with a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. DAY had resided in Fairfield about six years and came here from Chatham, N. J. Her acquaintance here was quite limited, but those who knew here esteemed her very highly. The funeral occurred Friday and the services were conducted by Rev. J. F. Magill.
