OBITUARY

ARLIE G. DAVIDSON

Death has invaded the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd DAVIDSON and taken their only son, Arlie G., thus breaking a link in the family circle of a happy home. His sickness was of short duration, only four days, but it was not considered serious until but a few short hours before his death.

Early Sunday morning he was taken to the hospital where an examination disclosed that perotinitis (sic) had set in and in a short hour he quietly fell asleep to awake in that Heavenly land which we all hope for in the future.

Arlie had reached the age of 14 years the 25 of June. His entire life had been spent in Blackhawk township. Being the youngest and only son he was the pet and idol of the home and was an unusually bright child and he will be greatly missed in the home and the Sabbath school and when school opens again there will be a vacant seat and a little voice will fail to respond to his name at roll call.

Oh! how often our hopes and our prospects in this life are blasted. Death enters into our homes and takes our loved ones, but let us be resigned to the Divine will of God for He knoweth best and Arlie has escaped the numberless sorrows of this life and has gone to swell the number of those of whom the Savior has said: "Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

Besides his grief stricken parents, he leaves one sister, Mrs. Irene DAVIDSON LYNCH of Albia and many other near and dear relatives and friends.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to these grief stricken ones but they do not mourn as those that have no hope.
