Irls L. DALLDORF

Iris L. DALLDORF, 78, of the Burlington Care Center, died 7:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 1987, at the center (note: in Des Moines Co., IA).

Born Aug. 21, 1909, in Nevada, Mo., she was the daughter of E.A. and Vanna GENKINS ORRIS. She married Albert J. DALLDORF in 1931 in New York City.

She grew up in Batavia and Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School. She lived her entire married life in New York City before returning to Iowa four years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are one brother, Ted ORRIS, Burlington; two sisters, Edna HICKS, Burlington, and Mrs. Frank BARTON, Keosauqua; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 7 p.m today at the Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield.

The service for Mrs. DALLDORF will be 7:30 p.m. today with the Rev. Robert Patterson officiating. The body will be cremated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.

A memorial has been established for the Animal Rescue League.

Note: Buried in Lot SDof17-005, sharing her gravestone with her daughter Jean. Husband Albert James DALLDORF died in May, 1971, in Flushing, Queens Co., NY. He was a veteran, having served during World War I. There is no record of him being buried with Iris.
