Rites Thursday For Joseph A. CURRAY

Funeral services for Joseph A. CURRAY, former Batavia and Fairfield resident, will be held
Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the Hoskins funeral home, in charge of Rev. Harold Stark of Batavia. Mr. CURRAY passed away March 14 at his home in Elsinore, Calif. The body will arrive in Fairfield on Thursday morning. Interment will be in the Fairfield Abbey.

EXECUTRIX'S NOTICE

Public Notice Is Hereby Given:

That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, executrix of the estate of Joseph A. CURRAY, Deceased.

All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said Court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their beling allowed or proved, and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid costs.

Dated at Fairfield, Iowa, this 8th day of August, A. D., 1944.

Note: Buried in the Fairfield Abbey, initially; this was a mausoleum which stood in the 6th Addition in Evergreen Cemetery. Due to deterioration, it was closed and razed in the 1960s. Those interred there were moved to other accommodations. Joseph was moved to Lot Old.P.355 in Evergreen Cemetery. Wife Emma died in 1969 and was buried with him. Joseph was born January 30, 1858.
