MRS. CURTIS PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Ida Gertrude CURTIS, 66, passed away at 12:00 noon today at the Jefferson county hospital. She had been seriously ill for the past three months and in failing health for two years.

She was born July 19, 1877 in Berry, Ill. She had been a resident of Fairfield for the past 36 years.

She is survived by her husband, F. H. CURTIS, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Frank GIBSON, also of Fairfield; one step-son, Merl MUNGER of Davenport; her mother, Mrs. B. F. WEST, Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. A. B. ROSEMAN, Mason City, Ia.; and five grandchildren. Her brother, Lewis WEST, preceded her in death on March 27, 1944.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Hoskins funeral home, in charge of Rev. A. P. Keast, pastor of the First Methodist church. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
