Katie CUPP, long-time resident of Fairfield, died shortly after noon today at Maplewood Manor nursing home in Keota (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).
Miss CUPP resided at 805 E. Burlington. Services are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Katie L. CUPP, 86, 805 E. Burlington, died shortly before noon Wednesday at Maplewood Manor in Keota where she had been a patient the past few weeks.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. John Dilley officiating. Burial wil be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Katie L. CUPP was born Nov. 4, 1889, near Winchester in Van Buren County. She was the daughter of Valentine and Mary Catherine GLANDON CUPP. She was reared and educated in Van Buren County and moved to Fairfield in 1812 (sic - 1912).
Miss CUPP was employed at the telephone company in Fairfield for many years before her retirement.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, BPW, Pythian Sisters and Hawkeye Rebekah Lodge 386. She was the last surviving member of a family of ten.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 24TH DAY OF MAY, 1976, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF KATIE L. CUPP, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 29TH DAY OF JUNE, 1974, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT ROBERT A. NELSON WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
