Death of Mrs. Sarah CUNNINGHAM.

Mrs. Sarah CUNNINGHAM, who died last Monday at the home of her brother, Jacob BALDOSIER, in this city, was among the early settlers of Jefferson county, having lived here since 1844. Mrs. CUNNINGHAM was the daughter of Daniel and Catherine BALDOSIER, and was born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, January 28, 1813. She was married to Ludwick CUNNINGHAM in Bedford county, Pa., on the third of October, 1833. On coming to this county in 1844 they lived in Walnut township. Afterwards, from 1850 until 1858, they made this city their home, and again since 1892 Mrs. CUNNINGHAM has resided in Fairfield.

In the spring of 1850 her husband went to California in search of gold, and in 1853, in hope of greater successs started to Australia. Since the day before his departure neither he nor the ship with which he sailed has ever been heard of by his wife or friends.

Mrs. CUNNINGHAM was a sufferer from neuralgia and since last March has been confined to her bed.

The funeral services took place Tuesday afternoon from the home of Jacob BALDOSIER, in the southwestern part of the city, Rev. M. L. Melick conducted the services.
