Death came this morning to Noah Amos CRILE, 85, well known Jefferson county resident. He died about 9:30 a.m. at the home of his son five miles east of Fairfield. He had been in failing health for several years.
Last rites will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Hoskins Funeral home with the Rev. Harold Kruger in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Noah Amos CRILE was born Sept. 14, 1873, at Brighton, Iowa, the son of the late John Jacob and Mary FITCHNER CRILE. He was married March 3, 1897, to Emma HOLZHAUSER, at Hedrick, Iowa.
A member of the Hope Lutheran church of Germanville, he had spent almost his entire life in Wapello and Jefferson counties. He spent his life at farming.
Survivors include one son, Orrie CRILE, Fairfield; and a brother, Ed CRILE, also of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife who passed away July 11, 1956, a brother and four sisters.
