Arthur CRAFTON, 72, 910 Depot Ave., died Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital. He entered the hospital earlier in the day after suffering a heart attack.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Alvin E. Nelson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
CRAFTON had made his home in Fairfield for 50 years. He was employed at the Iowa Malleable Iron Co. for 35 years before his retirement.
CRAFTON was born July 16, 1890 at Springfield, Ill., the son of Richard and Mary CLEMONS CRAFTON. He was married to Ada HAVNER Dec. 24, 1913.
Surviving are his wife and two children, Ralph "Pete" CRAFTON, Fairfield; and Mrs. Dale COX, Batavia. Also surviving are one grandson and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Elizabeth ALEXANDER, Bentonsport; Mrs. Clara WESTON, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Walter and Clarence CRAFTON, Birmingham; and James CRAFTON, Fairfield. One brother is deceased.

Jefferson County, ss.Notice Is Hereby Given, that the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Administrator of the estate of William Arthur CRAFTON deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment, and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
