Luther COX Dies At Hospital

Luther COX, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital. The body was taken to the Weston Behner Funeral home where last rites are pending.

COX made his home at 405 E. Lowe street.

COX Services Set Saturday

Funeral services for Luther COX, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home.

COX, 85, died Thursday afternoon at the Jefferson County hospital where he had been a patient for 13 days. Rites will be conducted by Dr. J. Henry Teele. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

COX was born Oct. 3, 1875 in Jefferson county, the son of Welcome Friend and Elzabeth (sic - Elizabeth) JUDD COX.

COX was a bachelor. He is survived by one brother, David COX, Omaha, Neb.
