MRS. MARY COPLAND DIED YESTERDAY (sic)

Mesc. Mary Elizabeth COPELAND passed away yesterday afternoon at 3:40 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. Maggie LAUGHRIGE on East Adams street. Mrs. COPELAND had been in very poor health for about two years and her death was not unexpected.

Mary Elizabeth RALSTON who was the daughetr (sic) of Andrew and Frances RALSTON was born in Jefferson county, Ohio, Sept. 14, 1838, being at the time of her death 77 years, 1 month and 3 days old.

March 3d, 1862, at Wheeling, West Virginia, she was united in marriage to Samuel COPELAND who passed away fifteen years ago. In the year 1890 the family moved to this county where they have since made their home.

Mrs. COPELAND is survived by an aged brother John RALSTON of Stubenville, Ohio, they being the last of a family of eleven children,

She is also mourned by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Anna BRYAN, Fry COPELAND, Mrs. Maggie LAUGHRIGE, Samuel A. COPELAND, and John H. COPELAND of this city, and Mrs. Mary L. BAKER of Colville, Wash., and Mrs. Olive BRADBURY of Grand Junction, Colo. One child passed away in infancy.

Mrs. COPELAND joined the Baptist church at Mt. Marie, Ohio, in her younger years and throughout her life was always a devout Christian. She was a woman who was highly respected and loved by all and many friends will extend their sympathies to the sorrowing family in the loss of a loving mother.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at the home of Mrs. Maggie LAUGHRIGE at 405 East Adams street the services being in charge of Rev. Keesey of the Methodist church. The remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. MARY COPELAND PASSED AWAY MONDAY
Aged Lady Died at Home of Her Daughter After Long Illness

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth COPELAND who has been in very poor health for the last two years, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maggie LAUGHRIDGE (sic - LAUGHRIGE).

The funeral services were held from the LAUGHRIDGE home yesterday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Keesey of the Methodist church and interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth RALSTON, daughter of Andrew and Frances RALSTON, was born in Ohio September 14, 1838. She was united in marriage with Samuel COPELAND at Wheeling, West Virginia, on March 3, 1862. To this union eight children were born one of whom died in infancy.

She is survived by four sons and three daughters. They are: Mrs. Anna BRYAN, Fry COPELAND, Mrs. Maggie LAUGHRIDGE, S. A. and J. H. of this city, Mrs. Mary L. BAKER of Colville, Wash., and Mrs. Olive BRADBURY of Grand Junction, Colo. One brother, John RALSTON, of Steubenville, O., survives her.
