COPELAND dies

LeRoy COPELAND, Route 3, died late this morning at Jefferson County Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

Rites for COPELAND

Leroy R. COPELAND, 79, Route 3, Fairfield, died Tuesday at 11:54 a.m. at Jefferson County Hospital. He had been ill four days.

The service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. D.O. van Dyne officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The son of John H. and Zella B. RIDER COPELAND, he was born July 22, 1900 in Jefferson County.

He married Helen D. PALMER Aug. 20, 1928 in in (sic) Corydon, Iowa. She died June 19, 1979.

He was a retired farmer and lived all his life in Jefferson County. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son, Eugene L. COPELAND, a Denver, Colo., attorney and a brother, Clifford COPELAND, Fairfield.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF LEROY R. COPELAND, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 5TH DAY OF MAY, 1980, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF LEROY R. COPELAND, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 6TH DAY OF JULY, 1979, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT JUDY E. LAURITSEN WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
