BIRL COPELAND, DRUGGIST, DIES
Fairfield Man Brought To Hospital Here From New Market

Birl Ellis COPELAND, well known druggist in Fairfield and New Market, Ia. died Sunday morning at 5:00 in the Jefferson county hospital, at the age of 61. Death was caused by a stroke.

For some time Mr. COPELAND's work had divided his residence between Fairfield and New Market. He was affected by the stroke at New Market. His brother brought him to the hospital here. Illness lasted for several weeks.

Mr. COPELAND was born in Harrison county Ohio, in March, 1876. He had been a druggist for forty years.

Surviving are three sisters, Lucy BACKHURST, Eloisa CARSON and Alberta CARLSON of Cadiz, Ohio; and three brothers, Jay COPELAND and John B. COPELAND of Fairfield and T. A. COPELAND of Cadiz, Ohio. Three sisters, one half sister and one half brother are deceased.

Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral home on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. S. P. Williamson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
