MRS. NANCY COOPER DIED.

Mrs. Nancy COOPER, mother of Marshall Frank COOPER, died at her home here Thursday afternoon about five o'clock. She was 83 years of age. The funeral arrangements have not as yet been made.

Mrs. Nancy McMULLEN COOPER was born in Ireland and early in life came with her parents to America. When sixteen years of age she came to Jefferson county. Here she was married to Samuel COOPER who proceeded (sic) her in death about eight (sic - 13) years ago.

MRS. S. J. COOPER DEOD. (sic)

Mrs. Nancy COOPER, an aged and respected resident of this city, died at her home on West Burlington street Thursday evening, January 8th, after an illness of about two months.

Mrs. COOPER had been in poor health for some time but the illness from which death resulted was but of a little over two months duration.

Mrs. COOPER was born in Ireland in 1830 and came to this country with her parents when still quite young. In 1852 she was united in marriage with S. J. COOPER. Ten children graced this union, two of them with the husband, preceding her in death. She is survived by five sons and three daughters, one son, Frank, and a daughter, Mary, residing in this city.

Funeral services were held Sabbath afternoon from the home of her daughter, Miss Mary COOPER, Rev. A. H. Lathrop conducting the services. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery.
