Long Time Fairfield Resident In Failing Health For Three YearsMrs. Frank S. COOPER well known resident of Fairfield died at 4:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at her home, 304 North Main street. She had been in failing health for about three years, and seriously ill for two months. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Dora COOPER was a resident of Fairfield for 45 years and was born in Iowa on April 6, 1863. She is survived by her husband F. S. COOPER, one son Arthur of Fairfield, and one granddaughter Marjorie Eileen. Also surviving are two brothers, J. E. BOWERMASTER of Fairfield and Homer BOWERMASTER of Independence, Kansas, and one sister Mrs. Milton DOUGLAS of Fairfield.
Mrs. COOPER was a member of the Methodist church, of Rebekah Lodge No. 96, of the Pythian Sisters, and of the Yeomen.
Services will be held at the Hoskins Funeral Home at 2:30 on Friday afternoon, with Dr. M. A. Gable officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The body was taken to the COOPER residence this afternoon and will be returned to the funeral home at 11:00 tomorrow morning.

MRS. FRANK COOPER
Dora Jane BOWERMASTER, the daughter of Frederick and Kathryn ROBERTS BOWERMASTER, was born April 6, 1863, at Trenton, Ia. On March 2, 1887, she was united in marriage to Frank S. COOPER and to this union was born one son, James Arthur.
Mrs. COOPER had been in failing health for three years and seriously ill for two months, and passed away on March 9, 1938, at 4:30 p.m. at the age of 74 years, 11 months and three days. She lived practically all her life in Jefferson county with the exception of three years which were spent m (sic - in) Muscatine. She leaves her husband Frank S. COOPER, her son James Arthur, granddaughter Marjorie Eileen, two brothers, J. E. BOWERMASTER of Fairfield and Homer BOWERMASTER of Independence, Kans., and one sister Mrs. Milton DOUGLAS of Fairfield. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a faithful wife and mother and will be greatly missed. Mrs. COOPER was a member of the M. E. church, Rebekah Lodge No. 96, Pythian Sisters and Yoeman (sic).
Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home on March 11 at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. M. A. Gable. Rebekah Lodge No. 96 held a very impressive burial ceremony for their deceased Sister at the Funeral Home. Mrs. May Neibert, Mrs. Ruth Coleson sang "Going Down the Valley" and "In the Garden" accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Glenn Bates. Charles Linn, Jay Craig, Wes Gaumer, Harry Bennett, William Wells and Sanford Zeigler Jr. served as pallbearers. Mrs. Jay Craig had charge of the flowers. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. The many beautiful flowers were a testimony of the high esteem in which she was held by her many friends and loved ones.
