MARY COOPER DIED THURSDAY
Funeral Services in Fairfield on Saturday Afternoon

Miss Mary COOPER, a resident of Fairfield until last March, passed away at the home of a sister, Mrs. G. P. SHREVE, in Bloomfield yesterday afternoon, according to word received by her brother, Frank COOPER, 304 North Main street, last night (note: in Davis Co., IA).

Rev. Lloyd Tennant, pastor of the Bloomfield Methodist church, will conduct the funeral services from the Frank COOPER home in Fairfield on Saturday afternoon. The services will begin at 2:00 o'clock.

OBITUARY

MARY ANN COOPER

Mary Ann, daughter of Samuel J. and Nancy COOPER, was born in Waynsburg, Pennsylvania, March 9, 1858, and passed away, after an illness of about three weeks, on Jan. 4, 1934, at the home of her sister, Mrs. G. F. SHREVE, Bloomfield, Iowa.

When about 8 yetrs (sic) of age she came with her parents to Jefferson county, Iowa. She was a member of the Methodist church and attended services whenever able to do so. She was kind and thoughtful and devoted her life to helping others.

For many years she lived in Fairfield caring for her parents, her father being the first to pass on in 1900.

After her mother's death in 1912 she made her home with her sister, Mrs. B. F. FOWLER, Muscatine and Mrs. G. F. SHREVE of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, three sisters, Mrs. J. F. YOUNG of Gunnison, Colorado; Mrs. B. F. FOWLER, and Mrs. R. T. MITCHELL both of Fairfield; 2 brothers, Ellsworth, also of Gunnison and Robert of Davenport.

Those left to mourn her loss are one sister, Mrs. SHREVE of Bloomfield and 3 brothers Samuel of Portland, Oregon. John of Central City, Nebraska and Frank of Fairfield, several nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral services were held at the Frank COOPER home in Fairfield Saturday January 6, 1934, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Llloyd Tennant, of Bloomfield in charge of the services. The songs used in connection with the services were, "Sweet Bye and Bye" and Going Down the Valley" sung by Mrs. A. F. Greef, and Mrs. Frank Pierson.
