Nancy Myrtle COOP was born Jan. 28, 1880, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Lafayette and Cynthia SPENCER COOP.

She was employed as secretary for the law firm of Leggett and McKemey in Fairfield and during World War I she accepted a Civil Service assignment in Washington, D.C.

Following her retirement she returned to Fairfield and purchased the property at 401 North C where she lived until entering the home in Washington.

She traveled extensively. She was a member of the Daughters of American Colonists and attended the Methodist Church.

Miss COOP is survived by one nephew, Raymond COOP, and four nieces, Mrs Glover B. FERRELL, Washington; Beatrice COOP, Iowa City; Mrs. George HART, Des Moines; and Mrs. George HOLM, Fairfield.

She was the last member of her immediate family. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
