Mrs. Emma May COOP, who spent most of her life in Jefferson county, died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson county hospital. She had been seriously ill the past six days.
Last rites will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Roth officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Emma May COOP, 80, was born June 19, 1884, at Portland, Ore., the daughter of Edward and Lulu HAYES STANLEY. She moved to Jefferson Co. when a small child and was reared and educated in the Fairfield and Antioch communities.
She was united in marriage on Sept. 7, 1904, at Antioch to William D. GILBERT. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1947. She was married later to Wade COOP who passed away Nov. 30, 1958. Her second marriage took place on Sept. 29, 1952, at Oskaloosa.
Mrs. COOP was a member of the Presbyterian church and lived most of her life in Jefferson county. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Herbert CALHOUN, Oskaloosa, and Mrs. Warren PECH, Fairfield; and a son, Paul GILBERT, Fairfield.
Other survivors include nine grandchidlren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and one grandson.

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Emma May COOP, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Above Entitled Estate:
You are hereby notified that on the 5th day of February, 1965, the last will and testament of the above named decedent, bearing date the 23rd day of November, 1959, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that the undersigned was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
