RONALD JAY THOMAS
Houston, Texas

Ronald Jay THOMAS, 81, went to be with our Lord on December 13, 2020, in Houston, TX. Ron was born October 15, 1939 in Fairfield, IA, to Clarence Jay and Madeline Pauline THOMAS. A graduate of Fairfield High School, he served in the Navy for 4 years. He married his wife, Mary BLAKLEY ANDERSON in 1983, and they moved with their newly blended family to Houston, and settled in the Clear Lake City area. Ron worked as a machinist for many years and retired in 2000 from Associated Profax in Pearland, TX.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy J. THOMAS; brother, Richard THOMAS; and sister, Peggy THOMAS LANE.

He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Mary; daughters, JoLynne GIBSON (Edward) and Shannon NORDQUIST (Gregory); sons, Jess ANDERSON (Elizabeth) and Cory THOMAS (Samantha); grandchildren, Lindsey, Jacob, Gavin, Garrett, Gabriella, Haley, Tayelor and Cady; great-grandchildren, Austin, Brandasia, Keonnie, Brandon, Xander, Aubree, Easton and Peyton; one brand new great-great-grandson, born on November 21, 2020; and countless relatives and friends he loved dearly.

Interment will be in the Houston National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.

He marriedhis wife, Mary BLAKLEY ANDERSON in 1983, and they moved with their newly blended family to Houston, Texas, and settle in the Clear Lake City area. Ron , worked as a machinist for many years and retired in 2000 from Associated Profax in Pearland, Texas.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy J. THOMAS; brother, Richard THOMAS; and sister, Peggy THOMAS LANE.

Ron is survived by his brothers and sisters and their families: James LANE (Deanna); Daniel LANE; Karen GORDON (Robert); Patricia LATHROP (Jack); Kathryn KLETT (Terry); and Connie GARDNER (David). He is also survived by countless relatives and friends he loved dearly.

Interment of ashes will be in the Houston National Cemetery at 10 a.m. November 5, 2021, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.
