SUCCUMBS TO LONG ILLNESS

Orville L. COEN, 52, well known Louden Machinery Company employee, passed away this morning at 4:15 a.m. at his home, 313 West Burlington street. He had been seriously ill for the past two months.

He was born May 27, 1896 (sic - 1895) in Olds, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. COEN. He was united in marriage to Bess M. McINTOSH of Mt. Pleasant on November 30 1916.

He moved to Fairfield 33 years ago, and had been an employee in the Louden Machinery Company office for 25 years. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Mr. COEN is survived by his wife, his father, J. C. COEN, Pomona, California; three daughters, Mrs. John McBRIDE, Seattle, Washington; Charlotte M., and Sue, both of Fairfield; and one son, Paul E., of Denver, Colorado.

Other survivors are as follows: four sisters: Mrs. Inez CREIG, Burlington; Mrs. Lela McPHERSON, Berkley (sic), California; Mrs. Kenneth WILLIAMS, Pomona, California; Miss Cecil COEN, San Bernardino, California; four brothers, Purril, Burlington; Gleason, Bishop, California; Glenn and Leslie, both of San Bernardino; one grandchild John Edward McBRIDE.

The body was taken to the Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.

Rites Monday For Orville L. COEN

Funeral services for Orville L. COEN, well known Fairfield resident who passed away Friday, will be held at the Lutheran church Monday at 2 p.m. Dr. E. A. Piper will officiate, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Weston Behner funeral home Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The casket will not be opened at the church Monday.
